Leo's Road to Champion: The Plan Begins

Every successful show dog starts with a plan, and today we are excited to share ours.

Leo has officially joined the Luxe Legacy Pomeranians family, and while he's still just a young puppy, we are already laying the foundation for what we hope will be an exciting future in the AKC conformation ring.

Like every puppy, leo has a lot of growing to do. Our priority over the next year is simple: allow him to mature at his own pace while giving him every opportunity to reach his potential.

Summer 2026: Building the Foundation

For the next several weeks, our focus will be on:

• Daily socialization and confidence building

• Basic lead training

• Learning to stack on the grooming table

• Positive grooming experiences

• Weekly handling practice

• Continued veterinary care and wellness visits

At this stage, our goal isn't perfection, it is helping Leo enjoy the process and build confidence.

August-October 2026

Once Leo reaches four months of age, we plan to begin entering AKC 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy competitions.

These events are designed to introduce young puppies to the show ring in a fun and encouraging environment. More than anything, we want Leo to gain experience, meet new people, and learn to love showing.

We will be sharing photos, results, and behind-the-scenes moments from every show weekend.

Fall 2026-Winter 2027: Growing and Learning

As Leo continues to mature, we will focus on:

• Improving his show presentation

• Weekly stacking and gaiting practice

• Continued socialization

• Coat development and grooming

• Building confidence in new environments

Every month we will document his growth through photos, training updates, and milestones, so every can follow his journey.

Looking Ahead

As Leo reaches the appropriate age, we will complete genetic testing and recommended health evaluations. If he continues developing into the dog we hope he will become, our long-term goal is to campaign him toward his AKC Championship before considering him as a future foundation sire for Luxe Legacy Pomeranians.

For now, however, he is exactly what he should be: a happy, playful puppy enjoying life with his family. We are incredibly excited for this adventure and grateful you've chosen to follow along. Whether we are celebrating ribbons, learning valuable lessons, or simply watching Leo grow, we will be sharing every step of the journey right here.
